Orchid (lavender version): A 4-way Bargello Design

This program will be presented free for all chapter members, and the price is ONLY for the optional kit. Orchid is an intermediate level design by Toni Gerdes that uses a variation of a 4-way Bargello pomegranate design to create a lovely small piece (6” x 6”) that can be finished as a box top, a pillow, an ornament, or an insert for a purse. In this class you will learn about the history of the Florentine stitch and how to create color shading by combining strands of floss in your needle. You will be working on 18 ct. canvas. We will also discuss different color and size choices during the class. Program starts November 4, 2010 and runs through November 8, 2010.
