Fibonacci Swirls – Kathleen (Charly) Brennan
March Meeting Program
Designer: Olivia Hartshorn
Source: Needle Pointers, March-April 2022
Description:
Fibonacci Swirls forces the eye to move in circles by ever-increasing crescent stitches, even though rectangular sections form the design. The threads used in the model are limited, but the design can be worked with fewer threads or with many more – it is a great stash reducer! Stitches used include Scotch, Jacquard, Milanese, Caswell, a variation on diagonal mosaic, and a few composite stitches.
